The word "photography" comes from Greek and translates "drawing with light". As a photographer Vivien sees herself as an artist somewhat using her camera as brush that uses light to create works of art, hence: photo art.
Fettke Vivien was born in 1982 in Berlin
Friedrichshagen, a district of Treptow-Koepenick in Berlin.
After graduating in 2002, Vivien moved to Bournemouth (GB) to follow her
artistic ambitions. The Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Bournemouth and
Poole College awakened her passion for photography.
Fascinated by the unique offer of London College of Fashion to blend fashion
and commercial photography, Vivien decided to study there for three years under
photographers like Edward Barber and Adrian Wilson for her BA Degree.
She graduated as the best of the year with summa cum laude. During her studies, she developed her unique style, strongly influenced through her childhood years living in East Berlin. The unique colours and nuances of the Berlin lifestyle are always seen in her work.
Vivien currently works in London as a freelance photographer. Her portfolio includes, among other things, commission work and book covers for internationally published art books.
